Why Can't I Stop Reading?!

This might not be a secret, but I'm a huge nerd. I read a book a week, sometimes more than that depending on how many nights in a row I can manage staying up til 1am laying on the couch, reading. (And my secret reason for still not having baby #2 might just be because Im worried about losing my valuable book-time....) I kid, I kid. Right? ;)
Here are some favorites from the past few weeks, and I basically bug all my friends to read them so we can spend endless hours discussing every last detail. I know, nerd alert. I've been known to jump on complete strangers grabbing a book I like at the library or store....so watch out if you see me coming.

The Book Thief is SO GOOD. It's a young adult novel, but any adult would enjoy it. Seriously! I don't know why I had never read/heard of it before, but it's on my all time favorite list now.

I just randomly tried The Water and the Blood because I LOVE this author. She wrote These is My Words (which I adore), so I thought I would pick this one up. I was not disappointed!

Oprah almost (ahem...almost) never leads me astray. The Help was one I stayed up past 1am reading a few days in a row. Loved it! Oh Minnie...

Calley blogged about Truman Capote (and his ever so desirable voice), so when I saw In Cold Blood on the shelf at the library I grabbed it. Now I want to read all his other books. Maybe Truman was a nut, I don't know, but he was a good author!

My current read is Little Bee. So far it is interesting...but then again, I'm only on page 13...

After this book though, I will be slumming it and re-reading the Twilight Series. I guess renting New Moon the other night inspired me to be ready for the release of Eclipse? ;) Hey, I like Twilight. So shush.

Why are so many young adult novels so amazing?? Do you remember them being so good 10 years ago?

I'm adding some of these books to my list now! (which will take me at least a year to get to...) :)

That's awesome you read so much! I love to read but spend my free time doing other things mostly. I keep meaning to read more! By the way I'm a nerd as well when it comes to wanting to discuss every detail of a book I'm reading or just finished. No worries! =)

OK I'm so glad you posted this! I'm always looking for something good to read and although I don't have a ton of time to read them, I will someday! Those all look so good!

Shawna you are so funny! I am just like you I LOVE to read! Sadly...I have no time to read now with 2 kiddos. :( But dont let that stop you from having another baby...they are better then books! HAHA! I was just telling my husband that I need to start reading again I miss it. I also love the Twilight series and only made it through the 2 book then I had Caiden. So I am now reading Eclipse! We can discuss if you would like!

Shawna I wish I read books like you do! I literally have two stacks of books sitting on my nightstand -- for MONTHS now -- waiting to be read. :-/ Everytime I try to read I just fall asleep these days (getting for work at 4:30am is killing me). *sigh* I love hearing about all these books though, more to put on my list to read! :D
