Zoo days

Woodland Park Zoo gets festive this time of year and has the Pumpkin Bash; where they give all the animals pumpkins and we get to see the animals eat 'em! Ohh the excitement ;) It was another gorgeous weekend so we headed out and had some pumpkin fun. By the way, aren't the fall colors beautiful this year?! Here are a couple shots from our bedroom window:

Onto the zoo...
We're ready to see some animals!

Out of all the exciting animals, Darby loved the ducks most of all...

Can you see the jaguar?

Hey Darby, can you see the giraffes?

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Tis the season for candy and pumpkins! Dust off those Charlie Brown dvd's and bust out all the cheesy decor!
Saturday was gorgeous and we thought it was a good day to head out to the pumpkin patch. We had heard of a good one called Carelton Farm in Lake Stevens from some friends; you can check out their site here to get all the excellent pumpkin-y info.
We watched pumpkins get shot out of canons, went on a hay ride, trampled through muddy pumpkin fields, looked at a corn maze, and pet some farm animals! All in all it was a good first Halloween pumpkin patch excursion for the Darbster.

And then on Saturday night we cuddled up for some good laughs during the infamous Palin episode of SNL. Even though most of the show was lacking in laughs, it had it's good points. For example, the very hilarious Amy Poehler Palin Rap during Weekend Update. For those of you who missed it, here you go:

RIP Blackberry Pearl

RIP my pretty little Pearl. You had a short life, just to then be replaced by a Curve.
Yesterday my phone died. I think the following will describe pretty well as to why.
Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

And Exhibit C:

Lesson of the day is to not let your baby chew on and/or slobber all over your phone! She now has a very expensive toy that she can chew on all she wants.
So goodbye Pearl, have fun in toy land.
And say hello to my new phone:

On a brighter note, Darby is now a crawling machine!! I have a few pics of her new mobile activity. Video soon to come! Here are a few random ones...

Stuck Around the House

Now that I have a semi-mobile child, I have been finding her caught in some interesting areas around the house. Seriously, I don't know how she manages to get into some of these spots! But she is definitely keeping me on my toes and always making me laugh :)

We are lovin our silly baby :)
