...and to all a good night!

I have been delaying my super terrific happy christmas post due to lack of super terrific pictures...but my sister has run off to Canada for New Years with her camera and christmas pics, so alas, here are my not-so-great pictures. At least my memories have perfectly clear, high resolution images...

Favorites

Last night we had a yummy dinner with a couple of my favorite people. Justin made it to Seattle from WA DC and all of his lawyering, so it called for some Thai food. And of course we had to see Kris before Christmas!
Two attempts at a picture = one with Kris' eyes closed, and the other with one freaky-eyed Darby that even the red-eye-fixer wouldn't fix!

Last but not least...the all important 'Look at how much snow we've got!!' pictures

Winter Wonderland

As the rest of WA state knows (since it's all over the news the second we get a dusting...), it snowed last night! Darby and I took a quick adventure to check out the cool, cold, wet stuff. And please ignore the Pepto Bismol-type explosion that is her outfit...I guess we should invest in a snowsuit or something.

December Birthday (other than the man upstairs)

My sister Stefanie turned a quarter of a century on Dec 9th! That makes ME old, being the oldest. Bah! BUT as old as we all are now, we still know how to have a good time. A night out on the town perhaps?
We went to see A Christmas Carol at the ACT Theater in downtown Seattle, followed by a scrumptious meal at Gordon Biersch in Pacific Place.
We took up the whole row at the theater (and I guess Gary didn't want to be in either picture....)

Cheers! The birthday girl and her main squeeze Dean

Oh G-Ma ;)

Mini HS Reunion of Sorts

Today the Darbster and I ran over to Silverdale to meet up with some girlies from high school and their babies. It was a crazy 7(I think?) baby table, probably driving the other Red Robin diners completely mad! But hey, that's what RR is for. Darby was the nap-less wonder and showed her sassy side a bit throughout lunch, but we're all allowed a bit of a 'tude when we have no nap, right?! Riiiight...

It was so absolutely fun to swap mom stories and other gossip with these girls that I haven't seen in basically 8 years. Emily's little Sophia is a child prodigy or something. She is a month older than Darby and basically carrying on conversations with the adult-types and pointing out the balloons to all of us! *Gasp!* Calley's beauty is named Abby and can I just say she has the CUTEST little brown eyes and she sticks her tongue out when she smiles! Oh my heart! *Sidenote* I was so looking forward to meeting the famous Miss Summer, but she was a no show! But it's ok, she was busy with her Grandma ;) Maybe the Children's Museum Calley and Emily??
Megan's little Amelia is a super model who sports her bows like no other, she is an absolute pro! And Megan's little guy Henderson was so bored by our girly talk, he was out the entire time.
Also, Calley, that poor dear, tried to talk me into a Marathon....ahem...in June! She must be off her rocker! She better be ready to send me her training schedule, and then maybe...just MAYBE I could run a HALF marathon by June. But I have my serious doubts. I mean serious.
Future besties? Darby and Sophia

And then we were visited by super mom herself Natalie and her little 2 year old Trenton at my parents house later on that night!

Trenton was shy at first, but it didn't take long for him to search through the house, check out the dog, and count all the Christmas ornaments! Genius in the making, Im telling you. He also said 'Darby' like a pro and didn't seem to want to leave her when it was time to go ;)

To end the night, I left to catch the 9:20pm ferry and arrived to discover that it only runs on the weekend and had to wait until the 9:55pm, which of course didn't leave until 10:10pm. Oh how I heart the Washington State Ferries!

Wordle Wordle

So Im copying Megan's blog and doing a Wordle...

All you do is go to their website, paste the link to your blog, and they come back with a little jumble-jamble of all the words you use in your blog.
Apparently I say 'want' a lot...oops! There are a few words that I do NOT remember typing! Gonna have to check that...
Have fun wordle-ing

Fa La La La La......

(Her new favorite face)

The holidays are officially here! We did Turkey Day at the Crompton's which was such fun!! It was a packed house...close to 20 people party harty-ed! Then we ran over to Bremerton for a small turkey dinner with the Willcoxon clan on Saturday, and drooled over Dad's new 50 inch flat screen. (Too much football, by the way) ;)
Today we went out to Farmer Browns Christmas Tree Farm and picked out our tree! Like I said...it's officially the holiday season. Ho Ho Ho. I'm debating putting my daughter through the torture of a picture with Santa. Shall I or shall I not...?
Anyway here are some shots that cover the past few days.
