Rocky Mountain High

Colorado! Can I just say Colorado is beauuuutiful?! It is. We went for Dave's Grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration. They own a bug chunk of land where their daughter (Dave's Aunt) built a cabin and we all arrived with bells and whistles to celebrate!

Dave's party animal grandparents (Love them!)

Just enjoying the scenery.

Cousins

It was good times had by all! I stink at blogging lately...so it's a little short and a little late...but it will have to do :P Plus, I already uploaded these to Facebook, so I was feeling unmotivated ;)

And We're Staying!

It's official...we're sticking around in Bothell a tad bit longer. Our little condo sat on the market for a lovely 6 months with not one offer - but with plenty of no-show agents, agents running super late, or agents just showing up unannounced! As fun as selling is, I can't say I'm not happy it's over! Bah. So here we stay, in our little 882 sq ft 2 bedroom abode :)
But at least we have covered parking...?!
Plus, I admit, I'm a huge fan of NOT having to use quarters for the wash. I like my own machine that I don't have to share with my neighbors. Nothing against my neighbors, of course ;)
(This pic is during our remodel and pre-cabinets - we had just gotten our W/D and fridge. Let's just say I was a bit stoked)
And at least we have some cute little parks nearby. Some within walking distance (even if mentioned walking distances include sidewalks only about a quarter of the time).

Darby's favorite is Logan Park, I think. It's where she can joyfully run through a big field with flowers like the little girl in her dreams or something ;)

And dare I say, there is nothing wrong with being a 5 minute drive away from here :

And not only for all the fun shopping the Alderwood Mall provides, but also for Darby's favorite water fountains and the super germy kids play area!

All in all, Bothell isn't so bad! And hey - this is the house where this little stinker joined our fam. What's not to love right?! Right!

Super Dave

Today being Father's Day and everything, I thought I would post an 'Ode To Dave,' if you will. So here's to you! Thanks for being a 'Super Dave' and for being the best Daddy to little Darby in the whole wide world. She's a little bit in love with you, ya know ;)

Thanks for learning how to feed a newborn

And for always taking time for a snuggle

For knowing when it's time to read

Or just hanging at the park

Thanks for always listening when Darby needs an ear

And for walking around the block

For helping with Holiday Cheer

(4th of July)

And for always being ready to show Darby new things

We love you Daddy Dave! Keep up the good work ;) Happy Fathers Day!

Bummin' Around The House

I haven't blogged since May...Im so lame. In my defense: I FINALLY finished making my blog (the 2008 entries) into a book. So ya, that's what I was doing....that's it... ;)
If you want to make your blog into a book too - go to www.blurb.com. Just be prepared to spend a pretty penny, if you have a lot of blog entries the pages rack up pretty quickly. Oh and PS, make sure to REALLY focus on that last 'once over' looking for typos. I already found 2 in my book. But then again, Im not exactly the grammar queen or anything.

ANYWAYS-
We've been bummin' around the humble abode lately. And let me tell you, Darby is one crazy companion! She always finds something interesting to do.
Such as falling in love with our neighbor's dog Rosie (aka the sweetest dog on earth)

Or finding new fun spots to play

Her new favorite pastime is playing with her I-Spy bag from our own little Martha Stewart herself...Miss Megan!

And her new obsession is looking at her, and everyone elses, tummy. *Apologies to everyone who has had their shirt lifted by Darby in not so appropriate situations lately...since I know we LOOOVE showing our grown up tummies or something*

Can I just say Im in love with this chica. She's just the best ;)
